Rachel Novaes Marks 25 Years of Ministry With Family-Focused Release “Me and My House”

Gospel singer and songwriter launches a 15-song audiovisual project featuring new music, reimagined classics, and special family moments

Brazilian gospel singer and songwriter Rachel Novaes is celebrating 25 years of ministry with the release of her new song, “Me and My House” (“Eu e Minha Casa”), the opening chapter of an ambitious audiovisual project featuring 15 songs.

Recorded at Alphaville Presbyterian Church in São Paulo, Brazil, the new original song carries a deeply personal message for Novaes. She is joined by her daughter, Bia, on vocals, while her husband, Marcelo, and son, Samuel, participate on guitar. The family-centered performance reflects the role that faith and music have played throughout their lives.

For Novaes, beginning her anniversary celebration alongside her family was especially meaningful.

“There was no better way to begin this celebration than by worshiping with them. When I look back on our journey, I realize that more than the songs or even the testimonies they have inspired, having our children be part of this is the greatest fruit. It is one of the greatest blessings God has given us.”

Bia and Samuel were born while Novaes’ ministry was already underway and have since become involved in the family’s musical journey. Their participation in the new recording serves as a tribute to God’s faithfulness throughout the years.

“Me and My House” draws inspiration from Joshua 24:15, in which Joshua declares his commitment to serving the Lord together with his household. The song introduces Novaes’ new project, which will feature 15 tracks divided into five thematic sections, with three songs in each chapter.

The first section focuses on the theme of Promise and includes “Confiar” (“Trust”) and “Ele Vem Pra Te Salvar” (“He Will Come to Save You”), both of which were released on digital music platforms alongside the opening single. The corresponding music videos will be released weekly on Tuesdays.

The songs also reflect significant moments in Rachel and Marcelo’s personal journey. “Confiar,” for example, was written during a difficult period when the couple was facing infertility. During the new recording, the song unexpectedly incorporated part of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” (“Tu És Fiel, Senhor”), hymn No. 535 in the Harpa Cristã.

“Ele Vem Pra Te Salvar,” the Portuguese adaptation of Bob Fitts’ “He Will Come and Save You,” also carries a special history. Novaes originally performed the song with Pastor Adhemar de Campos. Shortly after participating in the DVD Comunhão e Adoração 6, the couple discovered that they were expecting their daughter, Bia.

Novaes says the three songs form a powerful narrative of faith: “Confiar” represents a season of waiting, “Ele Vem Pra Te Salvar” reflects God’s answer, and “Me and My House” celebrates the fulfillment of that promise.

The project features musical production by Hananiel Eduardo, video direction by Alek Lemes, and executive production by Ricardo Carreras, CEO of Musile Records. Several prominent names in Brazilian Christian music will also appear throughout the project, including Pastor Adhemar de Campos, Paulo César Baruk, Júlio Filho, Novo Canto, and FHOP Music.

Once all five sections have been released, the complete collection will be compiled into an album and made available across major digital music platforms.

For Rachel Novaes, the 25th anniversary project is more than a musical milestone. It is a celebration of faith, family, perseverance, and the promises she believes God has fulfilled throughout her journey in ministry.
